Posted: 23-Nov-2004 11:46:00 i am a pc tech for local computer shop, and have seen something i thought initially was a fluke but am wondering otherwise now. a machine came in that requires the full url to be typed in a browser page(not just ie all browsers tested -opera and firefox) along with msn. i could not successfully open a webpage with just part of url like (yahoo.com) or even (www.yahoo.com) it had to be all (http://www.yahoo.com) -has anyone encountered this before? i am currently checking the 2 machines for similarities, but have yet come up with a common bond besides obvious OS and neccessary software. any help is appreciated. thanks! |
